  • 1 lb ground beef (the more fat, the better)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • Jalapeno pepper seeded and chopped into fine dice
  • ½ C mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp smoked chipotle powder


  • Mix ground beef with chili, garlic, onion and cumin powders. Form 6 burger patties.
  • Brush olive oil all around each burger and fry or grill for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature of each burger reaches 165 F.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix mayonnaise and smoked chipotle powder. Serve on the side.
