- 225 g 8 oz beef stew meat
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cooking fat tallow or ghee
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 150°C (300°F). Season your beef stew meat with salt, pepper, and your preferred spices.
- You can use any combination of spices that align with your dietary preferences.
- Next, heat your chosen cooking fat over medium heat in a Dutch oven.
- Once the fat is hot, add the beef stew meat and brown it on all sides. This will help to seal in the juices and create a delicious crust on the meat
- Once you’ve browned the meat, pour enough beef broth into the Dutch oven to just cover the meat.
- You can adjust the amount of broth based on how much sauce you prefer in your stew.
