Baked Salmon with Butter
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets approximately 6 ounces each
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
- Set the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Herb Butter:
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, and salt.
- Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Prepare the Salmon:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the butter adheres properly.
- Place the fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased aluminum foil.
Apply the Herb Butter:
- Evenly spread the butter mixture over the top of each salmon fillet, ensuring a generous coating.
Bake:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
Serve:
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Transfer to serving.
