Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails about 200- 250g each
  • 2 tablespoons 28g unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon wedges clarified butter for serving

Instructions

  • Preparation: Use kitchen shears to carefully cut the top of the lobster tails lengthwise, stopping at the base of the tail. Gently lift the meat through the opening and place it on top of the shell. This will help the meat stay on top while cooking. Brush the lobster meat with melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for about 5 minutes.
  • Air Frying: Once the air fryer is preheated, place the prepared lobster tails in the air fryer basket, meat side up. Cook in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm, and the shell is bright red. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the size of the lobster tails and the model of your air fryer.
  • Serving: Once cooked, carefully remove the lobster tails from the air fryer using tongs or a spatula. Serve hot with optional lemon wedges and clarified butter on the side.
