Scallop Bacon Skewers
Ingredients
- 12 large scallops
- 6 slices of bacon choose sugar-free and nitrate-free varieties for carnivore compliance
- Sea salt to taste
Optional:
- Black pepper or other carnivore-approved seasonings
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Prepare the Skewers: While the grill is heating, cut each slice of bacon in half widthwise. Wrap each scallop with half a slice of bacon and secure with a wooden skewer, piercing through the center of the scallop. Repeat this process for all the scallops.
- Season: Lightly season the bacon-wrapped scallops with sea salt and any optional seasonings you prefer. Keep in mind that bacon can be salty, so go easy on the salt if needed.
- Grill: Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Grill the scallops for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bacon is crispy, and the scallops are cooked through. The exact grilling time may vary depending on the thickness of the bacon and scallops.
- Serve: Once the scallops are cooked to your desired level of doneness and the bacon is crispy, remove them from the grill. Serve the skewers immediately while they are hot.
