Ingredients
- 1 lb about 0.45 kg ground beef
- 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml sea salt
- 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml dried basil
- 1/4 tsp 1.25 ml garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup 60 ml beef bone broth
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sea salt, dried oregano, dried basil, and optional garlic powder. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs of your desired size. A common size is about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
- Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Pour beef bone broth over the meatballs to provide moisture and flavor.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
- Cook on low heat for 6-7 hours, allowing the meatballs to become tender and absorb the flavors of the broth.
- Once the meatballs are done, you can garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra burst of flavor and aroma.
- Serve the Italian meatballs in bone broth hot.
