Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb about 0.45 kg ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp 1.25 ml garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup 60 ml beef bone broth
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sea salt, dried oregano, dried basil, and optional garlic powder. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs of your desired size. A common size is about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
  • Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  • Pour beef bone broth over the meatballs to provide moisture and flavor.
  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  • Cook on low heat for 6-7 hours, allowing the meatballs to become tender and absorb the flavors of the broth.
  • Once the meatballs are done, you can garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra burst of flavor and aroma.
  • Serve the Italian meatballs in bone broth hot.
