Brown rice is a fiber-rich grain that is a good source of protein, micro nutrients (like folic acid), and minerals, such as selenium.
- 1 cup of brown rice (our favorite is short grain brown rice)
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1¾ cup of water
- Place rice in pot with salt and water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover pot and reduce to a simmer for 45-50 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
- Do not stir rice while cooking.
- Fluff with fork and serve
