Bacon Weave Breakfast Pizza
Ingredients
- 12 slices of bacon
- 4 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional topping: shredded cheese
Instructions
- Weaving the Bacon “Crust”: Lay out six slices of bacon side by side on a flat surface. Weave the remaining six slices of bacon perpendicularly through the first set of bacon slices, creating a woven pattern. This will serve as the “crust” for your pizza.
- Preparing the Bacon Crust: Carefully transfer the woven bacon “crust” to the bottom of the air fryer basket. Ensure that it is evenly distributed and covers the bottom of the basket.
- Preheating the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for about 5 minutes.
- Air Frying the Bacon Crust: Once the air fryer is preheated, place the bacon weave in the basket and air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the bacon begins to crisp up.
- Adding the Eggs: While the bacon crust is cooking, whisk the eggs in a small bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Once the bacon crust has begun to crisp, carefully pour the whisked eggs over the bacon weave, ensuring even coverage.
- Air Frying the Breakfast Pizza: Return the bacon and egg pizza to the air fryer and continue to air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the eggs are set to your liking.
- Adding Shredded Cheese (Optional): If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese over the cooked bacon and eggs during the last few minutes of air frying.
- Serving: Once cooked to your preference, carefully remove the bacon weave breakfast pizza from the air fryer and transfer it to a serving plate. Slice and serve hot as a delicious and protein-packed breakfast.
