Pork Rind Nacho Platter
Ingredients
- 4 cups of pork rinds about 100g
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or any other preferred cooked meat such as shredded chicken, pork, or even diced steak; approximately 225g
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese or a mix of your favorite melting cheeses such as Monterey Jack, mozzarella, or gouda; about 150g
- Sour cream for serving optional
Instructions
- Preheat the Broiler: Set your oven’s broiler on high and adjust the oven rack to the middle position.
- Arrange Pork Rinds: On a large oven-proof platter or baking sheet, spread out the pork rinds in an even layer. Try to cover most of the platter’s surface to create a good base for your toppings.
- Add Meat: Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef (or your choice of meat) over the pork rinds.
- Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the meat and pork rinds. If using, add sliced jalapeños on top for a spicy kick.
- Broil: Place the platter under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Watch closely to prevent the pork rinds from burning.
- Serve: Carefully remove the platter from the oven. If desired, dollop with sour cream before serving. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
