Easy Asian Peanut Sauce


  • ½ cup of creamy peanut or almond butter
  • 2 teaspoons of 100% maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of brown rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger root or
  • ½ teaspoon of dry ground ginger
  • ⅛-¼ teaspoon of crushed red pepper (optional)
  • cup of water


  • Combine all the ingredients in a small pot or saucepan on low heat on the stove top. Whisk ingredients together until smooth and warm, adding a small amount of water until sauce is desired consistency.
  • If using sauce the next day, simply add more water to thin to the desired consistency.
