  • Scoring the Duck Breast: Using a sharp knife, carefully score the skin of each duck breast in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat. This helps the fat render and the skin crisp up during cooking. Season both sides of the duck breasts with salt to taste.
  • Preheating the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for about 5 minutes.
  • Air Frying the Duck Breast: Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the duck breasts skin side down in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping.
  • Rendering the Fat: Air fry the duck breasts skin side down for 8-10 minutes, or until the fat starts to render and the skin becomes crispy and golden brown.
  • Flipping and Finishing: After the initial skin-side-down cooking, carefully flip the duck breasts using tongs. Continue to air fry for another 6-8 minutes, or until the duck breasts reach your desired level of doneness. The internal temperature should register 56-57°C (about 135-135°F) for medium-rare or 62- 63°C (about 144-145°F) for medium.
  • Resting and Serving: Once cooked to your liking, remove the crispy duck breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute. Serve the sliced duck breasts hot as a delicious and elegant carnivore-friendly dish.
