White Turkey Chili
Ingredients
- 1½ lbs ground turkey
- 1 jalapeño finely chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper chopped
- 1½ cups chicken stock
- 1 T grass-fed butter
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 t chili powder
- 1 t ground cumin
- ½ t dried oregano
- ½ t sea salt
- ½ t black pepper
- ⅛ cup heavy cream
Optional Toppings:
- Shredded cheddar cheese sour cream and sliced green onions
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, add the turkey, jalapeno, bell pepper, chicken stock, butter, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. Stir occasionally, crumbling the ground turkey with a spoon.
- Once ready, turn off the slow cooker. Add the heavy cream and mix. Taste, and adjust salt and black pepper seasoning, if needed.
- Divide the chili into 4 bowls and top with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and green onion, if desired.
