Pulled Pork
Ingredients
- 4 lbs about 1.8 kg pork shoulder
- 2 tsp 10 ml sea salt, or to taste
- 1 cup 240 ml water or chicken broth (optional, for added moisture)
Instructions
- Season Pork: Rub the pork shoulder all over with sea salt.
- Prepare Slow Cooker: Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the slow cooker. If using, add water or chicken broth to the slow cooker to help maintain moisture during the cooking process.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is very tender and shreds easily with a fork.
- Shred Pork: Remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it cool slightly. Shred the meat using two forks, discarding any fat or gristle.
- Serve: Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the juices. Serve hot, enjoying the rich flavors of the pulled pork.
