Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks
Ingredients
- 4 lamb shanks approximately 2.5 lbs or 1.1 kg
- 1 tsp 5 ml sea salt
- 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml dried rosemary (optional, for flavor)
Instructions
- Place the lamb shanks in the slow cooker.
- Season the lamb shanks evenly with sea salt and, if desired, dried rosemary for added flavor.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
- Once the lamb shanks are cooked, remove them from the slow cooker.
- Optionally, strain and reduce the cooking liquid in a separate saucepan to create a flavorful sauce.
- Serve the lamb shanks hot with the sauce if desired.
