Slow-Cooked Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons lard
- 2 pounds stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups beef broth
Instructions
Sear Beef:
- In a large skillet, heat lard over medium-high heat.
- Season beef with salt; add to skillet.
- Sear until browned on all sides. Transfer to slow cooker.
Combine Ingredients:
- Pour the broth over beef.
Cook:
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until beef is tender.
Serve:
- Ladle stew into bowls.
