Instructions
Sear Beef:
In a large skillet, heat lard over medium-high heat.
Season beef with salt; add to skillet.
Sear until browned on all sides. Transfer to slow cooker.
Combine Ingredients:
Pour the broth over beef.
Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until beef is tender.
Serve:
Ladle stew into bowls.
