Shrimp and Bacon Skewers
Ingredients
- 12 large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 6 slices of bacon cut in half
- 1 tablespoon lard
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Bacon:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 5-6 minutes until partially cooked but still pliable. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Wrap the Shrimp:
- Wrap each shrimp with a half slice of the partially cooked bacon.
- Thread three bacon-wrapped shrimp onto each skewer.
Grill the Skewers:
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Brush the skewers with lard and season with salt.
- Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are opaque and the bacon is crispy.
Serve:
- Transfer the skewers to a serving plate.
