Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g ground pork
  • 8 small sausages or hot dogs choose high-quality, minimally processed options, ideally with a carnivore diet-friendly ingredient list
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Season the Ground Pork: In a bowl, mix the ground pork with sea salt and optional spices until well combined.
  • Wrap the Sausages: Divide the seasoned ground pork into 8 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a thin layer. Place a sausage in the center of each flattened pork portion and wrap the ground pork around the sausage, sealing the ends and ensuring the sausage is completely enclosed.
  • Bake: Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking tray. Ensure they are not touching to allow for even cooking and crisping. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the ground pork is thoroughly cooked and begins to crisp.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the meaty, crispy “Pigs in a Blanket” as a satisfying carnivore snack.
