Egg Stuffed Meatballs
Egg Stuffed Meatballs
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs for boiling and stuffing
- 1 lb about 450g ground beef or a mix of beef and pork
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare Soft-Boiled Eggs: Place 6 eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for about 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled eggs. Immediately transfer eggs to an ice water bath to cool. Once cooled, peel the eggs carefully.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season the Meat: In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with salt, pepper, and any optional spices until well combined.
- Form the Meatballs: Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal parts. Flatten each part into a patty. Place a soft-boiled egg in the center of each patty, then gently wrap the meat around the egg, sealing it completely. Roll between your palms to form a smooth ball.
- Bake: Place the egg-stuffed meatballs on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the meat is thoroughly cooked and slightly browned.
- Serving: Let the meatballs rest for a few minutes before serving. They can be enjoyed hot or cold.
