Lemon-Garlic Butter Fish
Lemon-Garlic Butter Fish
Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets about 6 ounces or 170g each, such as salmon or cod
- 4 tbsp 60 ml clarified butter (ghee)
- 1 tsp 5 ml sea salt, or to taste
- 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml garlic powder (optional, for those who include spices)
- 1 tbsp 15 ml lemon zest (optional, for those who include minimal non-animal products)
Instructions
- Preparation: Rinse the fish fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides of the fillets with sea salt and optionally with garlic powder and lemon zest for added flavor.
- Slow Cooker Setup: Place the seasoned fish fillets in the slow cooker. Drizzle each fillet with clarified butter, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cooking: Cover and cook on low for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the fillets.
- Serving: Carefully remove the fish fillets from the slow cooker, ensuring they don’t break apart. Serve immediately, drizzled with the buttery sauce from the bottom of the slow cooker.
