  • 2 beef heart steaks about 1/2-inch thick
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lard

Prepare the Steaks:

  • Pat the beef heart steaks dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides generously with salt.

Sear the Steaks:

  • Heat the lard in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef heart steaks to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness is reached.

Rest and Serve:

  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice thinly against the grain and serve immediately
