Beef Heart and Marrow Stew
Ingredients
- 1 lb 450 g beef heart, trimmed and cubed
- 1 lb 450 g beef marrow bones
- 6 cups 1.4 liters water or beef broth
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Rinse beef heart and cut into bite-sized pieces. Roast marrow bones at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
- Cooking: In a large pot, combine water or broth, beef heart, and roasted marrow bones. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 3-4 hours until the heart is tender.
- Season: Add salt to your taste.
- Finish: Remove marrow bones, scoop out marrow, and return it to the stew. Discard bones.
- Serve: Serve hot, ensuring each bowl contains hearty pieces of beef heart.
