Ingredients
  

  • 2 filet mignon steaks approximately 6 ounces each
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened

Instructions
 

Prepare the Steaks:

  • Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels.
  • Brush all sides with lard.
  • Season generously with salt.

Air Fry the Steaks:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place the steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  • Adjust cooking time based on desired doneness.

Rest and Serve:

  • Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  • Top each steak with a dollop of butter before serving.
