Ingredients
  

  • lbs ground grass-fed beef
  • 1 small yellow onion finely diced
  • 1 green bell pepper finely diced
  • cups no-sugar-added tomato sauce
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t chili powder
  • 1 t ground cumin
  • ½ t dried oregano
  • ½ t sea salt
  • ½ t black pepper
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 t chopped fresh cilantro optional

Instructions
 

  • In a slow cooker, place the beef, onion, and bell pepper.
  • Add the tomato sauce, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or on HIGH for 3 hours.
  • Before serving, taste to adjust salt and black pepper seasoning, if needed.
  • Serve the chili topped with the cheddar cheese and cilantro, if desired. Serve hot.
