Beef Chili
Ingredients
- 1½ lbs ground grass-fed beef
- 1 small yellow onion finely diced
- 1 green bell pepper finely diced
- 1½ cups no-sugar-added tomato sauce
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 t chili powder
- 1 t ground cumin
- ½ t dried oregano
- ½ t sea salt
- ½ t black pepper
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 t chopped fresh cilantro optional
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, place the beef, onion, and bell pepper.
- Add the tomato sauce, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or on HIGH for 3 hours.
- Before serving, taste to adjust salt and black pepper seasoning, if needed.
- Serve the chili topped with the cheddar cheese and cilantro, if desired. Serve hot.
