Danish Meatloaf
Ingredients
- 1 T ghee
- 1½ lbs ground beef 70/30
- 1 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 t sea salt
- 1 cup finely ground pork rinds
- 3 eggs beaten
- ¾ cup beef bone broth
- 3 large turnips peeled and cut in half or quartered
Instructions
- Grease the bottom of the bowl of a 6-quart slow cooker with the ghee.
- In a large bowl, combine the meat, bell pepper, onion, sea salt, pork rinds, egg, and broth. Work the ingredients together until just combined, then shape the meat into a loaf.
- Arrange the turnips in the bottom of the slow cooker, and place the meatloaf on top of the turnips.
- Cover, and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours.
- When done, slice and serve the meatloaf with the turnips, and enjoy!
