Danish Meatloaf

Ingredients
  

  • 1 T ghee
  • lbs ground beef 70/30
  • 1 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 t sea salt
  • 1 cup finely ground pork rinds
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup beef bone broth
  • 3 large turnips peeled and cut in half or quartered

Instructions
 

  • Grease the bottom of the bowl of a 6-quart slow cooker with the ghee.
  • In a large bowl, combine the meat, bell pepper, onion, sea salt, pork rinds, egg, and broth. Work the ingredients together until just combined, then shape the meat into a loaf.
  • Arrange the turnips in the bottom of the slow cooker, and place the meatloaf on top of the turnips.
  • Cover, and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours.
  • When done, slice and serve the meatloaf with the turnips, and enjoy!
