Tuna Steaks with Avocado Salsa
Ingredients
- 4 tuna steaks 6 oz each, 1-inch thick
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Avocado Salsa:
- 2 avocados diced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/4 red onion finely diced
- 1 jalapeño seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- For salsa, gently combine all ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
- Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Sear tuna for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
- Let tuna rest for 2 minutes, then slice.
- Serve sliced tuna topped with avocado salsa.
