Bison Burgers with Cheddar
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground bison
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
Prepare the Burger Mixture:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground bison, shredded cheddar cheese, and salt.
- Mix gently until all ingredients are just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form the Patties:
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
Cook the Burgers:
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Assemble the Burgers:
- Toast the hamburger buns if desired.
- Serve immediately.
