Turkey Meatballs with Marinara
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey 93% lean
- 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups marinara sauce low-sodium
- Whole wheat pasta for serving
Instructions
- Combine turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Form into 20 meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Brown meatballs on all sides, about 8 minutes total.
- Add marinara sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve over whole wheat pasta.
