Baked Zucchini Chips
Baked Zucchini Chips
Ingredients
- 2 large zucchinis thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Optional seasonings:
- garlic powder, paprika, or Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, gently toss the thinly sliced zucchini with olive oil, ensuring each slice is lightly coated. Season with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings you prefer.
- Arrange the zucchini slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the zucchini slices are crispy and golden brown. Flip the slices halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crispiness.
- Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Serve the baked zucchini chips immediately for the best texture.
Tip:
- The key to crispy zucchini chips is slicing the zucchini as thinly as possible. A mandoline slicer is ideal for getting uniform, thin slices. Pat the zucchini slices dry with paper towels before tossing them with olive oil to remove excess moisture. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.
