Ingredients

  • 8 oz. high-quality GF dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar optional
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

For dipping:

  • Fresh strawberries whole or halved
  • Banana slices
  • GF cake pieces cubed
  • Marshmallows
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Any other fruit or GF goodies you love

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not let it boil. Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and add the chopped chocolate, sugar (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir continuously until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over a low flame or candle. If you don’t have a fondue pot, you can serve the fondue in a heatproof bowl; just be sure to enjoy it before it cools and thickens.
  • Arrange the dipping ingredients on a platter around the fondue pot. Use fondue forks, skewers, or regular forks to dip the items into the chocolate mixture. Enjoy the rich, romantic chocolate fondue with your Valentine, dipping and delighting in your favorite treats.

Tip:

  • Choosing a high-quality gluten-free dark chocolate is key to achieving the best flavor for your fondue. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 60% for a rich and satisfying taste. Remember to cut the fruits and cake pieces into bite-sized portions for easy dipping.
