Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs 900g thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tsp 5 ml sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml black pepper (optional)
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese about 200g
  • 1/4 cup 60 ml beef broth (for added moisture, optional)

Instructions
 

  • Place the thinly sliced ribeye steak in the slow cooker.
  • Season the steak with sea salt and optional black pepper.
  • Pour beef broth over the steak for added moisture (optional).
  • Cook on low heat for 6 hours or until the meat is tender.
  • In the last 30 minutes of cooking, lay slices of provolone cheese over the steak to melt.
  • Once cooked, stir gently to mix the melted cheese with the meat.
