- 24 oz minced beef.
- 2 oz cheddar cheese (grated).
- 6 bacon slices.
- 1 onion (chopped).
- 1 large egg (whisked).
- 2 tbsp butter.
- ½ cup thick cream.
- 1 tsp salt.
- 1 tsp black pepper.
Preheat oven at 400 degrees.
In a large frying pan, melt butter and fry onions until softened.
In a large bowl, add the beef, fried onions, cheese, egg, cream, salt and pepper; mix well and shape into a loaf.
Place the loaf in an ovenproof dish and layer bacon across top.
Bake for 45-50 minutes.
