Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs about 0.9 kg chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml bacon fat
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml sea salt

Optional:

  • 1/2 tsp 2.5 ml black pepper, for those who include spices

Instructions
 

  • Season Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with sea salt and optional black pepper.
  • Prepare Slow Cooker: Add the bacon fat to the slow cooker and place the seasoned chicken breasts in the fat.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken breasts are tender and easily shred with a fork.
  • Serve: Shred the chicken breasts if desired and serve hot with a drizzle of the bacon fat from the slow cooker for added flavor.

Optional:

  • If using Grill, go over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
