Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs about 900g ground beef
  • 1 lb about 450g thinly sliced beef (such as sirloin), used as "noodles"
  • 2 cups about 200g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup about 100g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp 5 ml sea salt, or to taste

Optional:

  • 1/2 tsp 2.5 mlgarlic powder and 1/2 tsp(2.5 ml) onion powder (for those who include spices)

Instructions
 

  • Prep Meat Layer: Mix ground beef with eggs, half of the salt, and optional spices until well combined. Spread this mixture at the bottom of the slow cooker as the first layer.
  • Add "Noodle" Layer: Lay slices of thinly sliced beef over the ground beef layer.
  • Cheese Layer: Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the beef slices.
  • Repeat: Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cheese layer on top.
  • Cooking: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the meat is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serving: Let the "lasagna" sit for a few minutes after cooking for easier slicing. Serve warm.
