Turkey Chili with Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground turkey 93% lean
  • 2 cans 15 oz each kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toppings: avocado cilantro, Greek yogurt

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  • Brown turkey, breaking it up as it cooks, about 5 minutes.
  • Add onion and bell pepper, cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and spices, cook for 1 minute.
  • Add tomatoes, beans, and broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve with desired toppings.
