Chili-Lime Shrimp and Root Vegetable Skewers_700x366

Really easy and amazing Primal shrimp recipe.

Loaded with vegetables, flavor, and mild-spiciness.

Try it!


  • 6-9 Wild-Caught Shrimp
  • 1 potato, cut into big triangle chunks
  • A carrot, large coins
  • 6 baby portabellas
  • ½ cup red onions, cut large
  • ½ cup Pasilla pepper, cut large
  • 2 limes, for juice and garnish
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • Salt and pepper

Steps to CrEATe:

1.)    Peel shrimp and place in bowl. Add juice of one lime, chili powder, salt and pepper, let sit.

2.)    Chop and prepare vegetables. Set aside.

3.)    Heat large skillet to medium-high heat. Add coconut oil. Toss in potatoes and carrots, cook for 3-5 minutes then, add mushrooms, onions, and pepper.  Stir and cover off and on for 5 minutes.

4.)    Move vegetables to one side of the pan. Add shrimp to opposite side, add more coconut oil if needed.

5.)    Stir and cook shrimp for 5 minutes. Stir vegetables on the opposite making sure they don’t sit too long on one side.

6.)    Remove from heat, let cool for a couple of minutes. Skewer shrimp and vegetables on 6”-8” skewers in any combination. Serve warm.
