What would New Years’s Eve be without Champagne and what would a healthy and prosperous 2012 be without a health conscious yummy GUMMY recipe?

This particular recipe surprisingly gummied up in less than 2 hours! You should be able to whip em up as a party favor for tonight or enjoy them throughout the day tomorrow. After all, it be tough to get tipsy off of Champagne Gummy Bears…

Here is the quick and easy recipe:

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups NON-Hydrolyzed Gelatin (I recommend Great Lakes)
  • 3 cups raw sugar
  • 2 cups Champagne (of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

1.) In medium bowl, mix water and gelatin, stirring until it forms a semi-hard substance. Let sit for 10 minutes.

2.) In medium sauce pan add sugar, orange juice, and lemon juice. Mix and bring to a boil.

3.) Add in gelatin mix and champagne and stir for 1 minute. Turn off heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

4.) Pour mixture in baking sheet or pan and gently place in refrigerator! BOOM! Champagne Gummies in about 2 hours.

I purchased bear and chick cut outs at Hobby Lobby for $.50 and once the liquid gummified I simply used the cut out pieces to make the formations of bears and chicks. Of course, you can use cut outs of ANYTHING you can think of or find at your nearest arts and crafts store!

Make sure to use NON-Hydrolyzed gelatin or the liquid will not form the oh so yummy gummy consistency. You may be able to find gelatin at your neighborhood grocer. I use Great Lakes Gelatin, which you can purchase HERE!
